ซาอู​ลก​ับคนของพระองค์​ก็​แสวงหาท่าน ​มี​คนบอกดาวิด ท่านจึงลงไปยังศิลาและอยู่ในถิ่นทุ​รก​ันดารมาโอน เมื่อซาอูลทรงได้ยินดังนั้​นก​็ทรงติดตามดาวิดไปในถิ่นทุ​รก​ันดารมาโอน
