సౌలు, అతని బలగమూ తనను వెదికేందుకు బయలుదేరారన్న మాట దావీదు విని, కొండ పైభాగంలోని మాయోను ప్రాంతంలో నివాసం ఏర్పరచుకున్నాడు. ఆది విన్న సౌలు మాయోను ఎడారిలో దావీదును తరుమబోయాడు.
