Katanya, ‘Biarkanlah aku pergi, sebab ada upacara kurban bagi keluarga kami di sana. Kakakku sudah memberi pesan bahwa aku harus hadir. Demikianlah, jika aku berkenan di matamu, izinkanlah aku pergi untuk menjenguk saudara-saudaraku.’ Itulah sebabnya Daud tidak datang ke perjamuan raja.”
