1 சாமுவேல் 1:23

அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய கணவனாகிய எல்க்கானா அவளை நோக்கி: நீ உன்னுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்து, அவனை பால் மறக்கச்செய்யும்வரை இரு; யெகோவா தம்முடைய வார்த்தையைமட்டும் நிறைவேற்றுவாராக என்றான்; அப்படியே அந்தப் பெண் தன்னுடைய பிள்ளையைப் பால் மறக்கச்செய்யும்வரைக்கும் பாலூட்டி வளர்த்தாள்.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.
