1. ശമൂവേൽ 1:23

അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എല്ക്കാനാ അവളോടു: നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെയാകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ മുലകുടി മാറുംവരെ താമസിക്ക; യഹോവ തന്റെ വചനം നിവർത്തിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൾ വീട്ടിൽ താമസിച്ചു മുലകുടി മാറുംവരെ മകന്നു മുലകൊടുത്തു.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.
