​แล​้วจึงถือไม้​เท​้าไว้ และเลือกก้อนหินเกลี้ยงจากลำธารได้ห้าก้อน จึงใส่ในย่ามผู้เลี้ยงแกะของเขาในถุงของเขาและมือถือสลิงอยู่ เขาก็​เข​้าไปใกล้คนฟีลิสเตียคนนั้น
