Nang makita ni Saul si David na lumabas laban sa mga Filisteo, sinabi niya kay Abner, ang kapitan ng hukbo, “Abner, kaninong anak ang binatang ito?” Tumugon si Abner, “Habang nabubuhay ka, hari, hindi ko alam.”
