அதற்கு அவன்: நான் பாவம் செய்தேன்; இப்போது என் மக்களின் மூப்பர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாகவும் நீர் என்னைக் கனப்படுத்தி, நான் உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளும்படி, என்னோடு திரும்பிவாரும் என்றான்.

Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
