എന്നാൽ ശൗൽ കേന്യരോടു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അമാലേക്യരോടുകൂടെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകുവിൻ; യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ അവർക്കു ദയചെയ്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ കേന്യർ അമാലേക്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

¶ And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
