“શાઉલને રાજા ઠરાવ્યો છે તેથી મને અનુતાપ થાય છે, કેમ કે મારી પાછળ ચાલવાનું મૂકી દઈને તે પાછો ફરી ગયો છે અને મારી આજ્ઞાઓ તેણે પાળી નથી.” શમુએલને ગુસ્સો આવ્યો તેણે આખી રાત ઈશ્વરની આગળ રડીને વિનંતી કરી.
