అది నా కొడుకు యోనాతాను వల్ల జరిగినా సరే, వాడు తప్పకుండా చనిపోతాడని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను కాపాడే యెహోవా తోడని నేను ఒట్టు పెడుతున్నాను” అని చెప్పాడు. అయితే అక్కడ ఉన్నవారిలో ఎవ్వరూ సమాధానం చెప్పలేదు.
