சவுல் இருந்த நாளெல்லாம் பெலிஸ்தர்களின்மேல் கடினமான யுத்தம் நடந்தது; சவுல் ஒரு பராக்கிரமசாலியையோ ஒரு பலசாலியையோ பார்க்கும்போது, அவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் தன்னிடம் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவான்.

And there was sore war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took him unto him.
