1 Samuël 14:45

Maar het volk zeide tot Saul: Zou Jonathan sterven, die deze grote verlossing in Israel gedaan heeft? Dat zij verre! zo waarachtig als de HEERE leeft, als er een haar van zijn hoofd op de aarde vallen zal; want hij heeft dit heden met God gedaan. Alzo verloste het volk Jonathan, dat hij niet stierf.

And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
