फिर शाऊल ने इस्राएलियों में से तीन हजार पुरुषों को अपने लिये चुन लिया; और उनमें से दो हजार शाऊल के साथ मिकमाश में और बेतेल के पहाड़ पर रहे, और एक हजार योनातान के साथ बिन्यामीन के गिबा में रहे; और दूसरे सब लोगों को उसने अपने-अपने डेरे में जाने को विदा किया।

Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Beth-el, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.
