1 Petrus 4:1

Christus heeft lichamelijk geleden en jullie moeten bereid zijn om hetzelfde te doen, want als je lichamelijk hebt geleden, heb je met de zonde afgerekend.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
