ท่านรู้​ว่า​ ​พระองค์​​ได้​ทรงไถ่ท่านทั้งหลายออกจากการประพฤติอันหาสาระมิ​ได้​ ซึ่งท่านได้รับเป็นประเพณีต่อจากบรรพบุรุษของท่าน ​มิได้​​ไถ่​​ไว้​ด้วยสิ่งที่เสื่อมสลายได้ เช่นเงินและทอง

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
