Och tre gånger om året offrade Salomo brännoffer och shalomoffer på altaret som han byggt till Herren (Jahveh) och offrade där på altaret [1 Kung 8:22] inför Herrens (Jahvehs) ansikte [3 Mos 3:1]. Så fullbordade han huset. [Tre gånger om året är vid de tre vallfartshögtiderna pesach, shavuot och sukkot, se 2 Mos 23:14-17; 5 Mos 16:1-17.]

¶ And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
