ఇతడు నఫ్తాలి గోత్రానికి చెందిన విధవరాలి కొడుకు. ఇతని తండ్రి తూరు పట్టణానికి చెందిన ఇత్తడి పనివాడు. ఈ హీరాము గొప్ప నైపుణ్యం, జ్ఞానం గలవాడు, ఇత్తడితో చేసే పనులన్నిటిలో బాగా ఆరితేరిన వాడు, అనుభవజ్ఞుడు. అతడు సొలొమోను దగ్గరికి వచ్చి అతని పని అంతా చేశాడు.
