ബെനായാവു യെഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു: നീ പുറത്തുവരിക എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. ഇല്ല; ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ തന്നേ മരിക്കും എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ബെനായാവു ചെന്നു: യോവാബ് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ എന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു രാജാവിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the LORD, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.
