พระองค์ทรงดำเนินตามมรรคาของอาสาราชบิดาทุกประการ มิได้หันเหออกไปจากทางนั้น ทรงกระทำสิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่ปูชนียสถานสูงนั้นยังมิได้ถูกรื้อลง ประชาชนยังคงถวายเครื่องสัตวบูชาและเผาเครื่องหอมในปูชนียสถานสูงนั้น
