પરંતુ એક સૈનિકે તીર છોડ્યું. એ તીર ઇઝરાયલના રાજાને તેના બખ્તરના સાંધાની વચ્ચે થઈને વાગ્યું. તેથી આહાબે પોતાના સારથિને કહ્યું, “રથ ફેરવીને મને યુદ્ધભૂમિની બહાર લઈ જા. કેમ કે મને કારમો ઘા વાગ્યો છે.”
