આત્માએ જવાબ આપ્યો, ‘હું અહીંથી જઈને તેના સર્વ પ્રબોધકોના મુખમાં પેસીને જૂઠું બોલનાર આત્મા થઈશ.’ યહોવાહે જવાબ આપ્યો, ‘તું તેને લલચાવીશ અને સફળ પણ થઈશ. હવે જા અને એ પ્રમાણે કર.’

And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
