ശേഷിച്ചവർ അഫേക്ക് പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി; ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇരുപത്തേഴായിരം പേരുടെമേൽ പട്ടണമതിൽ വീണു. ബെൻ-ഹദദും ഓടി പട്ടണത്തിന്നകത്തു കടന്നു ഒരു ഉള്ളറയിൽ ഒളിച്ചു.
