அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீ வெளியே வந்து யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக மலையின்மேல் நில் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது, இதோ, யெகோவா கடந்துபோனார்; யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகப் மலைகளைப் பிளக்கிறதும் பாறைகளை உடைக்கிறதுமான பலத்த பெருங்காற்று உண்டானது; ஆனாலும் அந்தக் காற்றிலே யெகோவா இருக்கவில்லை; காற்றுக்குப்பின்பு பூமி அதிர்ச்சி உண்டானது; பூமி அதிர்ச்சியிலும் யெகோவா இருக்கவில்லை.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
