Toen hij vandaar was vertrokken, trof hij Eliseus, den zoon van Sjafat, terwijl deze aan het ploegen was. Twaalf koppel ossen gingen voor hem uit; hij zelf bevond zich bij het twaalfde. En terwijl Elias hem voorbijging, wierp hij hem zijn mantel om.
