Essi adunque gridavano con gran voce, e si facevano delle talgliature, secondo il lor costume, con coltelli, e con lancette, fino a spandersi il sangue addosso.

And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
