Ordugâh kuran halk, Zimri'nin düzen kurduğunu ve kralı da öldürdüğünü duydu. Bunun üzerine bütün İsrael, ordu komutanı Omri'yi o gün ordugâhta İsrael üzerine kral yaptı.
