అహాబు అషేరా దేవతాస్తంభాన్ని నిలిపాడు. ఈ విధంగా అహాబు తన పూర్వికులైన ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజులందరికంటే ఎక్కువగా పాపం చేసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడు యెహోవాకు కోపం పుట్టించాడు.
