I RE 16:16

Ed avendo udito che Zimri avea fatta una congiura, e che avea eziandio percosso il re, tutti gl'Israeliti, quel giorno istesso, costituirono re sopra Israele Omri, capo dell'esercito, nel campo.

And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.
