तब इस्राएली प्रजा दो भागों में बँट गई, प्रजा के आधे लोग तो तिब्नी नामक गीनत के पुत्र को राजा बनाने के लिये उसी के पीछे हो लिए, और आधे ओम्री के पीछे हो लिए।
