అప్పుడు ఆసా చనిపోయాడు. అతనిని దావీదు పట్టణంలో తన పూర్వీకుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టారు. అతనికి బదులు అతని కొడుకు యెహోషాపాతు రాజయ్యాడు.
