પછી અબિયામ તેના પિતૃઓ સાથે ઊંઘી ગયો અને તેને દાઉદના નગરમાં તેના પિતૃઓ સાથે દફનાવવામાં આવ્યો. તેના પછી તેની જગ્યાએ તેનો પુત્ર આસા રાજા બન્યો.
