તેમ છતાં દાઉદની ખાતર તેના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહે યરુશાલેમમાં તેના કુટુંબનો દીવો સળગતો રાખ્યો. એટલે તેના પછી યરુશાલેમને સ્થાપિત રાખવા માટે તેણે તેને પુત્ર આપ્યો.
