அவைகளுக்கு பதிலாக ராஜாவாகிய ரெகொபெயாம் வெண்கல கேடகங்களைச் செய்து, அவைகளை ராஜாவின் வாசற்படியைக் காக்கிற காவற்காரர்களுடைய தளபதிகளின் கைகளில் ஒப்புவித்தான்.
