Toen maakte koning Rechabeam in plaats daarvan koperen schilden, welke hij toevertrouwde aan de oversten der garde, die wacht hield aan de ingang van het koninklijk paleis.

And king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king’s house.
