అదే రోజు అతడు ఒక సూచన ఇచ్చాడు. “ఈ బలిపీఠం బద్దలై దానిమీదున్న బూడిద ఒలికి పోతుంది. యెహోవా చెప్పిన సూచన ఇదే” అన్నాడు.

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
