Setelah semua peristiwa itu, Yerobeam tetap tidak berhenti melakukan perbuatan jahatnya. Dia masih saja mengangkat imam-imam dari berbagai suku untuk ditugaskan di tempat-tempat pemujaan di atas bukit-bukit. Dia mengizinkan siapa pun untuk menjadi imam.
