Den som tror på Guds Son har detta vittnesbörd inom sig. Den som inte tror på Gud har gjort honom till en lögnare, eftersom han inte trott på vittnesbördet, som Gud gav om sin Son.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
