భార్య తన భర్త బతికి ఉన్నంత వరకూ అతనికి కట్టుబడి ఉండాలి. భర్త మరణిస్తే తనకు ఇష్టమైన వ్యక్తిని పెళ్ళి చేసుకోడానికి ఆమెకు స్వేచ్ఛ ఉంటుంది. అయితే ఆమె విశ్వాసిని మాత్రమే చేసుకోవాలి.

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
