ഭർത്താവു ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തോളം സ്ത്രീ ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭർത്താവു മരിച്ചുപോയാൽ തനിക്കു മനസ്സുള്ളവനുമായി വിവാഹം കഴിവാൻ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഉണ്ടു; കർത്താവിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവനുമായി മാത്രമേ ആകാവു.

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
