അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അത്താഴം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ പാനപാത്രവും എടുത്തു; ഈ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ രക്തത്തിൽ പുതിയനിയമം ആകുന്നു; ഇതു കുടിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ഓർമ്മെക്കായി ചെയ്‌വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
