Kun ehtoollispöydässä pyydämme Herran siunaamaan viinin, se merkitsee, että kaikki, jotka sitä juovat, tulevat osallisiksi Kristuksen veren tuomasta siunauksesta. Se taas, että syömme leipää, merkitsee, että olemme osalliset Kristuksen ruumiista.
