ఇశ్రాయేలుకు పెద్దకొడుకైన రూబేను సంతానం గూర్చిన వివరాలు. ఇతడు పెద్ద కొడుకే గానీ అతని ప్రథమ సంతానపు జన్మహక్కును అతని నుండి తీసివేసి ఇశ్రాయేలుకు మరో కొడుకైన యోసేపు కొడుకులకు బదలాయించడం జరిగింది. ఎందుకంటే రూబేను తన తండ్రి మంచాన్ని అపవిత్రం చేశాడు.
