At umupo si Solomon sa trono ni Yahweh bilang hari sa halip na si David na kaniyang ama. Pinagpala siya, at sinunod siya ng buong Israel.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
