ప్రజాసంఖ్య చూసే విషయంలో ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీదికి ఉగ్రత వచ్చిన కారణంగా సెరూయా కొడుకు యోవాబు దాన్ని చెయ్యడం ఆరంభించాడు గాని దాన్ని ముగించలేదు. కాబట్టి ప్రజాసంఖ్య మొత్తం దావీదు రాజు వృత్తాంత గ్రంథాల్లో చేర్చలేదు.
