સરુયાના પુત્ર યોઆબે વસ્તી ગણતરી શરૂ કરી પણ તેણે પૂરી કરી નહોતી. ગણતરી કરવાને લીધે ઇઝરાયલ પર કોપ આવ્યો. દાઉદ રાજાના કાળવૃત્તાંતના ઇતિહાસમાં આ ગણતરી નોંધાવામાં આવી ન હતી.
