అందుకు యోవాబు “రాజా నా ప్రభూ, యెహోవా తన ప్రజలను ఇప్పుడున్న వారికంటే వందరెట్లు ఎక్కువమందిగా చేస్తాడు గాక. వాళ్ళందరూ నా ప్రభువుకు దాసులు కారా? నా ప్రభువుకు ఈ వివరం ఎందుకు? దీనికి కారణం ఏంటి? ఇది జరిగితే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు శిక్ష కలుగుతుంది” అన్నాడు.

And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
