Doch koning David zeide tot Ornan: Neen, maar ik wil stellig de volle prijs geven, want ik wil niet wat u behoort, aan de Here opdragen en geen brandoffer brengen dat mij niets kost.

And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
