Maar koning David sprak tot Ornan: Neen, kópen wil ik het, en wel voor de volle prijs; ook wil ik voor Jahweh niet iets wegnemen, wat u toebehoort, en brandoffers opdragen, die mij niets kosten.

And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
