ദാവീദ് അവിടെ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു; അവൻ ആകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു ഹോമപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ തീ ഇറക്കി അവന്നു ഉത്തരം അരുളി.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
